I have seen several stories in the last couple of days about PleaseRobMe.com. It’s a clever idea for a website that does nothing more than aggregate tweets from people about their location via Foursquare.
Their website explains why they are doing this:
The goal of this website is to raise some awareness on this issue and have people think about how they use services like Foursquare, Brightkite, Google Buzz etc.
Their point of view is that by sharing your location, it alerts would-be burglars that you are not home.
Honestly, this site doesn’t bother me. In fact, I think it’s much ado about nothing.
Just because I post that I am “out” doesn’t mean that my house is empty or unprotected. Only a very stupid criminal would rely on PleaseRobMe.com as an effective way to case a house.
In fact, anyone simply parked down the street from my house can quickly discover that I am gone Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 6:00 pm.
Sure, using some sophisticated data mining and intelligent coordination might yield some results, but it makes for a better TV show or movie plot than real-world scenario.

Well, here we are on day 15 and obviously the How To Create A Habit In 15 Days programs did not work for me. Mind you, I don’t think it was the method as much as it was me. I just need to find something that works for me.
Here is a video my son made for his English class. Give him some hits y’all!
Dear Fellow Drivers,
Some of you seem to not realize the purpose of some of the helpful markings on our nation’s roads. Specifically, at many intersections there is a thick white line on the ground. This is called a stop line. Allow me to repeat an part of entry from Wikipedia:
In some places, wider white stop lines indicate where vehicles should stop at an intersection when there is a stop sign or a red light in a traffic signal facing them.
For clarification, you should stop your car BEFORE you get to the stop line. It’s not really an arbitrary marking in the pavement, it was actually planned and measured and stuff.

Day 6: Your First Milestone
Now it’s time to start analyzing, This is the day when you’re commenting on your progress. If you haven’t made any progress it’s time to write the reasons. What stopped you? Which of you defined tasks in Day 2 were performed and which avoided? Be as specific as you can. You have a whole day just for assessment. When you finished this, you’re already a week away from your starting point. Whatever your progress, keep in mind that you’ve done it for one week. You only have 9 days to go.
So I didn’t make a post for days four or five. The best reason that I can come up with is that it was the weekend. The weekend is usually full of distractions and writing obviously wasn’t one of them.
